Kindness
Kindness creates a sense of belonging and reduce isolation. Helping others is thought to be one of the ways that people create, maintain, and strengthen their social connections. For example, volunteering and helping others can help us feel a sense of belonging, make new friends, and connect with our communities. By taking a pledge to become a part of the Choose Kind movement, everyone can work to impact the lives of others in a positive way. For children to thrive, they need to be in an environment that makes them feel safe and feel like they belong. When kids "choose kind," they make a positive impact on others well-being. People who give of themselves in a balanced way also tend to be healthier and live longer. Kindness can increase your sense of connectivity with others, decrease loneliness, combat low mood and improve relationships. It also can be contagious, encouraging others to join in with their own generous deeds. Kindness can assist you in developing positive relationships with people. People who do not know you will begin to like you right away. Kindness is the most valuable characteristic that comes at no cost. Even someone who has no money and wear only a rag on his body might be generous to others. When shown kindness, it triggers positive emotions and help people feel more fulfilled and improves self-evaluations. Indeed, many years of research has shown that boosting someone's value confirms their self-worth.
