Delight in God-Genesis Chapter 34:1-31

The Hebrew word for delight (anag) commands us to find enjoyment in God. The Lord wants us to incline our hearts towards him-to lean into Christ where we will discover unspeakable joy. Prayer of all kinds at all times, in-depth bible study, Scripture memorization, worship, fellowship and other people who know God well, taking a walk-in nature, and being awed by God's handiwork. All of this feed our delight by feeding our knowledge. Delight is often associated with an initial impression -one say, "She continues to delight us," to suggest that the first impression continues. The word delight derives from the Latin delectare "to charm" which also gives us delectable, and the same lighthearted sense of pure, uncomplicated pleasure. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desire of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him and he will do this. He will make your righteous reward shine like dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Psalms verse 1 , the context here applies to all people not only male or men. The blessed person delights in the law of the Lord. The Hebrew word translated "delight" is related to a word that can mean "to bend" the blessed person "bends" towards God. His or her inclination is to meditate on God's word.
