Finding Favor-Genesis 33:1-20
He seeks to mold us into the image of his son (Romans 8:28-29). If you want to have favor with God, be fully committed to his beloved son, Jesus Christ. Worship and revere him, identify with his pain, gain a heart like his, and display his characteristics in your life. If you want to gain favor, keep God as a priority in your life, be obedient, be humble, honor him, serve, and build kingdom relationships. Finding favor means gaining approval, acceptance, or special benefits or blessings. There is also a close association among favor, grace, and mercy, which are sometimes used to translate the same Hebrew and Greek (such as hen and Charis)So, in summary , (paraphrased) this verse speaks of God's favor by showing his approval to those who think more of others than themselves and are broken by the sin in our lives which drives us to ask for forgiveness and go to God's word with the expectation of trembling at the message he has in store for us!
