Joseph Reveals His Identity-Genesis Chapter 45:1-28

Joseph is the founder of the Israelite Tribe. His story functions as an explanation for Israel's residence in Egypt. He is the favorite son of the patriarch Jacob, and his Jealous brothers sell him into slavery in Egypt, where he eventually ends up incarcerated. There were many people in the room, and he said to his attendants, "Out, all of you!" So he was alone with his brothers when he told them who he was. Then he broke down and wept. He wept so loudly the Egyptians could hear him, and word of it quickly carried to Pharaoh's palace." I am Joseph!" he said to his brothers. Following an emotional breakdown, Joseph finally reveals his identity to his baffled brothers. After they realize the governor of Egypt is the one they sold into slavery two decades earlier, he rushes to tell them he does not hold them responsible. God spoke to Joseph in a very special way, through his dreams. Now it's important to remember, throughout the bible there is progress in the way that God communicates with his people. Hebrew says this clearly, "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our father by the prophets"(Hebrews1:1)
